Claire Arkas was born in 1978 in İzmir, Turkey. She completed her preparatory education at the Ecole Cantonale d'Arts du Valais in Sierre, Switzerland, from 1997 to 1999. Claire continued her studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 2000 to 2003, where she trained in engraving, painting, and lithography. Focusing on charcoal, lithography, and oil painting, Claire has held over ten exhibitions both domestically and internationally since 2004. In 2015, she worked on original printmaking at the Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts. Claire currently lives and works in Istanbul.
