Claire Arkas was born in 1978 in İzmir, Turkey. Between 1997 and 1999, she completed her preparatory art education at the École Cantonale d'Arts du Valais in Sierre, Switzerland. She continued her studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 2000 to 2003, where she received comprehensive training in engraving, painting, and lithography.
Working primarily with charcoal, lithography, and oil painting, Claire Arkas has exhibited her works in over ten solo and group exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad since 2004. In 2015, she produced a series of original printmaking works at the Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts (IMOGA), further expanding her artistic practice.
Claire Arkas currently lives and works in Istanbul, where she continues to explore the expressive potential of traditional and contemporary techniques.
