Artsrun Apresyan was born in 1981 in the village of Odzun, Armenia. After graduating from the Odzun Art School in 1996, he moved to Yerevan to continue his education at the Panos Terlemezyan Art College. In 1999, following three years of study, he was admitted to the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts, where he specialized in painting. He graduated in 2005 with a diploma in Fine Arts, qualifying as an artist-painter.
Since 2001, Apresyan has participated in numerous group exhibitions across various cities including Yerevan, Tbilisi, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, Barcelona, and Granada. His international presence continued to grow, and since 2014, he has been actively exhibiting in Istanbul, Turkey.
His first exhibition in Istanbul took place in 2014. He continued to collaborate with IMOGA Art Gallery regularly, holding solo exhibitions approximately every two years. He also participated in group exhibitions at IMOGA, such as the 2015 Group Exhibition and the 2016 show titled Two Look. In 2019, he further developed his printmaking practice at IMOGA’s studio.
Artsrun Apresyan’s works are included in private collections across more than ten countries, including the United States, Germany, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Lebanon, Russia, Canada, Georgia, Cyprus, Turkey, and Armenia.
